(pronounced On-Oh-Mot-Oh-Pee-Ah)? Well....
Onomatopoeia - noun. It is
a written sound for an object. It is usually an exclamation and ends
with an exclamation point. Some examples of onomatopoeia are: Ring!
Ring! for a telephone. Buzz! Buzz! for a bee, Meow! for a cat, Pow!
For a punch. Bang! for something falling, and Boom! for an explosion.
See if you can draw some pictures and add some onomatopoeia to describe
their sounds.
